Lime Gems are one of the eight gems in the Gemcraft series, and the special ability of this gem is called Chain Hit. This ability means that after it hits one monster, there is a chance that it will bounce to another monster. One shot could destroy many monsters with this effect.

Strategy with Chain Hit Gems[]

This section is currently under construction.

Effect in traps: chance of extra hit, appears to target a single monster.

Advanced behavior: In towers, all specials except red will be applied with every hit. in traps, it is unknown whether it is applied once, or repeatedly until it fails.

Strategies:

Tower: lime works best at around the beginning or middle of the track, before the line of monsters becomes fragmented. Combines nicely with orange to make a decent mana farm.

Trap: lime is primarily useful in prismatics and triple gems: Y/L/X.

In Labyrinth, Lime gems are quite powerful. A single Y/L/X trap with four to six amplifiers can be used to complete endurance much more easily than using towers.

Gemcraft Chapter 2[]

The Lime gems will not be returning for Gemcraft Chapter 2, due to the close distinction between the Yellow and Green Gems. The Chain Hit power will remain, but will be given to the red gem.
