This is the first in a series of blog posts saying what I think about the upcoming Gemcraft Chapter 2: Chasing Shadows. I plan on doing a follow up blogpost for every blogpost of updates Gameinabottle releases on their website. This blogpost is for the post back in December. To see their blogpost click here .
This update was mostly an overview to tide us over for a while, but it did reveal a lot of stuff. The first promo picture looked exciting, and I was interested to realize that we still fight with a magic orb, even though we're not in the Labyrinth any longer.
The Gems seem to be having a major switch. I was sad to see the Lime gem go, but since he said it's due to color issue, I think another gem will still get the chain hit power. The Black and White Gems look interesting, and I'm curious to find out what they do.
I like the lag fix. Instead of having more monsters, we have tougher monsters, which is an equal tradeoff.
Not really sure about the battle sparks and wizard spells. I'll have to see what they do before I give my opinion on those.
Really excited that monsters can have multiple abilites AND can heal.
The best thing for this is the mana automatically refills. That is the greatest relief that I could ask for.
That's it for now. Hopefully, there will be more updates soon. When they come, I'll post my comments, and you can feel free to post yours or comment on mine.
Until next time,--LevenThumps 20:08, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
